if you want the premium package the moonroof comes with. In canada you can't even get a base Journey w/o moonroof. it sux

 

Yeah, I'm sure there are some exceptions just sitting around with no moonroof, but I'd bet it's pretty rare to find just sitting at a dealership--you got lucky.

 

I was in Atlanta visiting a friend back in September and I stopped at a dealer in Gwinnett who had an IP Journey with 19's (non Sport) sitting on the lot. I had never seen one like that before.

By the way, I'm 6'2" and I have more than enough head room with my seat all the way down.

 

^you can order the 19s without the sport package.

 

Yup... That's right. I think they call it the Performance Tire & Wheel Package.

 

I had a similar problem. I wanted a 6 Speed, but no premium. I do some track events and autocross in my G37 and need the headroom for a helmet plus I like the weight reduction and rigidity without the premium package. I had to do a custom order as all the G37-S 6MT that could be found had premuim and more on them. It took 3 months from time of order for car to come.

If you wanted to add the radio and homelink stuff back on, maybe check for G37 that are salvaged and get the parts you want.

 

G37 is considered a pimp swagger... A moonroof is a must for these type of cars. I leave mine on tilt mode most of the time when it's not raining.

ya like 95% of g's come with premium standard just because they know most people want it. the people who dont are mostly tall track guys lol.

 

And reselling one that did not have a moonroof would be difficult.
