i THINK the difference is a "sunroof" is those old school ones that you manually slide back on old cars and many times stick out of the car's body..."moonroofs" are more common today as they are mechanical....flush with the car's body....tilt and slide back, tinted, etc....
so as a rule of thumb - they are virtuallyall moonroofs now.

there use to be a time when a roof slider was not made of glass. a sunroof is a metal slider and a moonroof is a glass slider. i don't think there is a car that comes with a sunroof anymore.
