Has anyone heard this rumor that Nissan/Infiniti is thinking about changing the name of the G series to Skyline in a couple years? I heard it from a somewhat reliable source that it might be a strong possibility and that Infiniti is "possible" discussing it especially since the GT-R is now not suppose to be associated with the Skyline name. Not sure if anyone knows anything about this or if this is just crap. I kinda hope they do change the name but that is just me

Minnesota G owners
I remember how many ppl got flamed and things actually done to their car, keyed, slashed tires etc and just excessive hate towards ppl that rebadged their car as a 350GT or Sykline. Not that it makes much diff, but I think its the general concept of disrepect for what's overseas....

Let me contribute to the resurrection of this thread....
I had SKYLINE 370GT for a couple of years on my car and I actually got more comments, praises and even people taking pics of the car from a stoplight/parking etc....
I got tired of explaining to newbs if my car is a "real SKYLINE"... so I've since took 'em off. Now I have a sort of custom made "G37S" badge because I dont like the stock Infiniti G37S font. (I used the G and 3 and 7 from the 370GT, painted them black and a red "S" from another car) I'll post pics later when I get home.
Now I'm getting bored with this so I may just change it up again.
