Convertible top cycle incomplete

I have a 2012 G37. I have an issue with my top. It opens and closes as it should however; when we turn the car off and back on, it shows the roof operation in cycle. I have to hold "close" momentarily for the cycle to complete. You can hear motors running & stuff. Then it goes off. You think its complete. But every time it gets turned off and back on again, it recycles the same issue. It thinks its cycle isnt complete. I'm thinking a sensor. ? Anybody have this issue?
