I went right back and ordered two more to have onhand in case they need to be replaced again. (We have hot, dry summers in SoCal that I imagine are demanding on these rubber parts.)
I just installed these, too. The old reddish ones were crumbling apart, and they were easy enough to pry out with my fingers. These replacements were a good fit, just requiring a flat screwdriver to help squish the larger end down into the convertible mechanism's metal "socket."

Have you had a need to replace again?
Any residue markings left on the roof and/or some other unforseen problem?
Thanks.
Working well. No residue, no replacement needed. I live in SoCal so we get plenty of heat that can be a challenge to polymers. I'm very pleased.
Curious if anyone knows what problem occurs in the roof mechanism if these things deteriorate?
One of mine has deteriorated and just trying to see if it causes a rattle or something. Not sure how these come into play with the roof opening/closing

These seem to support the trunk when it swings back during the roof operation.
I'm not sure how these would deteriorate from driving, other than normal wear and tear from the external elements.

I will be frank, as far as Infiniti is concerned anything concerning those flipper arms usually mean that the whole arm gets replaced as a unit. In other words, you might have to come up with a backyard solution of your own.
Can you provide a picture of some sort indicating what you are needing?

I am thinking - that for the price and the scarcity of these - that it may be relatively easier to get a block of rubber and cut the shape out (it is actually not overly complex) or make a mold and use two part firm-setting silicone. I need to look into this further, but this has been on my mind to get duplicates before they deteriorated.
