Ok i was driving home from work at around 10:45PM on 441 near chillies in boca. When i got to the left turn lane to get onto palmetto that takes you into loggers run a person in a red 4door car rides up my *** for a good 5 minutes, so i get pissed off and start hitting my brakes untill he backs off, then he starts to do it again... so i end up switching lanes and going in back of him and flashing my high beams. He continues to do the same thing untill i gun it and give him the finger and get away from the person. He then pulls up next to me, pulls his badge out and tells me to pull over.... Im like freaking out at this moment and decide not to... he ends up following me all the way to wendys in loggers run near golds parkinglot, he then drives next to me and tells me why i didnt pull over.. i tell him " you are in a unmarked car and show no proof you are a cop" he then gets mad and tells me that not all cops are in police cars and tells me to have a nice night.... I leave. I wish i would of got his tags after researching the incident, i saw a few articles about the same thing and how people get killed and cars stolen and stuff like that..... it was a older man who just flashed his badge at me while driving next to me. He could of been a real cop by radar was going crazy while on 441. Overall i suggest not pulling over and calling 911 to double check the person who is requesting you to pull over who is not in police uniform is a real cop.

Sounds like a crazy phony trying to pull one on you but luckily it didn't work out for him in his favor. I've been hearing stories like this around central FL as well.

 

if you're ever in doubt, just call 911 and keep driving to a public place.

Pretty scary... guess wrong and it could be bad news... calling 911 is a good move...

 

I don't flick anyone off anymore, especially in South FL.
A truck was messing with me in my Cobra one day down Commercial Blvd. I just gun it to get ahead of him and then slow down. He must of had NOS, cause he stayed in my rear. Then he floors by me and comes inches from my bumper cutting me off as the lanes merged for construction. When it gets back to 2 lanes I pull along side and give a 2 minute finger, then turn off.
I was heading to the gym along back roads now, and I look in my rear view to see him fishtailing around a corner. I floor it to get to the gym parking lot and park. He just sits around the side of the building waiting thinking I don't know he's there. I wait for a while deciding what to do. The parking lot is somewhat busy so I decide to head inside. As soon as I get out, he come barreling around the corner. I guess he thought I was going to run, but I walked straight up to his window and was like WTF! He rolls it down and he is some scrawny white trash **** with his g/f. He got all scared (probably seeing how much bigger I was than him) and was like "why did you flick me off". I told him that his crazy azz driving stunts are going to get someone killed and I didn't appreciate getting cutoff. I asked him if he wanted to take this any further, and he said no and sorry then drove off.
He could have had a gun and it was risky, so I don't take chances like that anymore.
I have had other run in's with drivers who get all agressive as well. The Cobra can usually dust them pretty good to get away, but then you are still driving risky.
You here about people getting shot all the time for driving, flicking off, or parking spaces. South FL. is bad on crazy azz people with guns so I choose to go unoticed by those people.

 

Something similar happened to me too. Long time ago back when I was not married, lived with my parents and drove Eagle talon tsi.
I'm driving on the freeway during traffic and I decided to go onto off ramp (it was coming back out on the freeway so I figured I'll get ahead of the traffic) So I switched to left lane and there was a guy in the saturn he was coming out onto the highway. So instead of slowing down and and letting me go (he had a sign) he guns it and gets ahead of me. I did not break and got very close to him (he was speeding up so I did not even bother to slow down) then all the sudden he stomps on breaks and I find my self sliding on the road and and smelling my rubber. So I got a lil mad got ahead of him and told him to follow me. We get off next exit and stop at the light, he gets out of my car and runs up to me. I had my window open. He starts yelling and ****. I told him to take his hands off my car and follow me. It was my exit and we lived in not very populated place (lots of trees and no ppl anywhere around you) So he follows me and when he saw me taking uphill road into the woods he stopped and so did I. I made a gesture for him to continue follow me and he did. When we got into the wood I pulled over and stepped out of the car. He pulled up behind me and got out. I asked him WTF IS GOING ON? He immediately apologized and we shook hands and we went our separate ways.

+1 on south florida. i may get angry but 99% of the time i control myself especially down there. you never know who's crazy or has a gun.
