Angry 08 G37S horizontal door dent... PICS

Hey guys long story short I worked all day and come out to this after parking noticeably away from everyone... Can I take the door panel off and bang it out the other way? Or should I bring it to an auto shop, this dent is literally controlling my life it needs to be fixed I am beyond upset.

I'd say take it to a PDR place and have them make it look nice again, if you do it you'll probably still have waves in the paint and you won't be happy with the results.

A PDR will make it look somewhat better, but the creases are hard to remove.

You can try to remove the door panels and bang it out yourself. But that's a 2 person job. You need someone on the otherside holding a flat object against the panel, and you on the otherside slightly tapping it back into shape.

But from the looks of it, it's gonna need bondo.

If you try hitting it out with a hammer you might end up with unsightly hammer dents instead. My buddy paid some sketchy parking lot mechanic to fix a dent on his '13 Camaro and he made it 10x worse by doing that. Plus, when hammering sideways is actually quite hard to get enough force to actually push the dent out without missing.

I had 3 creases just like that when a pallet fell over and hit my door in my garage. Sucked it up and took it to my local infiniti dealer. They fixed it for $700 and i got a loaner for 3 days while the repair was being done.

I would suggest Paintless Dent Removal. The one advantage about using them are not having to worry about paint matching or blending the paint to match as close as possible. Another is cost versus paint and body work. I've seen much larger creases than that, and I speak by experience. Given it was a different car, I can assure you, I had no regrets going the route of Pointless Dent Removal. Good luck.
