I'm not sure to what you are referring. Inside or outside? A pic might help.

Outside. It is the two black plates midship. I'll see if I can get a photo posted soon.

At ease, sailor, you're not onboard a ship anymore.

It looks like it does only come with the door. I searched the online parts.

You may be able to get one from a junk yard/recycle yard. At least the Gsedan is the most common Infiniti on the road.

If they do need to paint it, at least get a loaner/rental.

i would ask the to replace the whole door, dont take a risk a paint it cause they can mess it up even more. besides replacing the whole door might be a quicker fix

I just got the rattle out of the door plus it seems like such over kill to swap out the door for a one inch scratch on the plate.

Man I am getting so steamed the more I think about this BS. I seriously doubt both sides will match since the pillar cover is factor painted plus the loaner car issue.

I called my SA at Lokey to find out what they intend to do for the loaner and the pillar plates matching. I doubt they would leave me in the woods on this but I do not want to go in assuming anything.

It would be better to paint the pillar than to paint a whole new door.

No they were talking about replacing the is the only available means of repairing this problem because the plates cannot be bought seperately

All I can say is I am glad I live in Tampa and am dealing with Lokey on this matter because just about any other dealer would have left me out to dry on this. I hate it like crazy that I/we, we being me and Lokey, are having to go through this but I defy anyone to find a dealer that would respond so well to a customers concerns and be genuinely kind about it while doing it.

I am more embarassed for myself than I am upset at the problem because I know there are folks in this world that have far greater problems to worry about.

I still have a lot of salt behind my ears. Any way I am pretty sure I have heard this term used in autmotive industry mags before.

Any way when I drive it is all ahead full and standby for heavy rolls as the ship comes about!
