Help P2098 after cleaning throttle bodies
P2098 after cleaning throttle bodies
I got a 14’ q50 3.7 but I figured I can get more help from this forum. This week I took it to the shop for maintainance and I told the mechanic to clean the throttle bodies while he’s at it since they had a lot of buildup and I had acceleration problems. I had told him to be careful with it and also to disconnect the harness and do the relearns after. So later when I start it up, the rpms were shooting up and it was revving uncontrollably. So he used his diagnostic tool and fixed the idle air volume control and it went back to normal.
Drove a few miles home and cel pops up and it’s P2098 code (“Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Lean Bank 2”). I cleared the code yesterday and it came back today. I’m just lost as to how the throttle body cleaning would trigger something downstream beyond the cats. Any help would be appreciated. Also I do have a muffler delete.
