Car won’t start at times

Hi all,

I have a 2009 Infiniti G37x with 150k miles, it randomly doesn’t start at times. The car would crank and start but will shut down like it’s not getting enough power (kind of like a misfire). I have to press the gas pedal to make it start. Some days it starts normal without me having to do this. It would do this a lot of a cold day if I let it sit for like 12 hours but there has been times it did this on a hot day. There is no code, I’ve tried bringing it to the mechanic and dealer and they said since there isn’t a code, they can’t really help.I've also cleaned the MAF sensors but not the throttle body. Any suggestions on what this issue may be? Thanks!

Clean the throttle bodies, they are probably filthy and I remember reading people with your issue and dirty throttle bodies where the culprit.

As Krzysztof said, clean the throttle bodies. That’s one of the first things I did when I got my car. But I literally took the throttle bodies off and cleaned them. Just be careful with the screws on the throttle body. They are soft metal and it’s very easy to strip them. Also try to have a magnetic bit. I lost 2 nuts that are still down there somewhere. Probably fell on the crossmember or something. Definitely gone now
