Clutch Replacement

Looking to upgrade clutch... sticking with DMF as drivability is important for street driving...question on the following:

Are others moving to CMAK setup or CSC HD upgrade? I have have the CSC HD V1 now (been 10 years strong!) so im new to the CMAK upgrade.

Flywheel and Pressure Plate Bolts - Are you guys replacing with ARP for strength or reusing stock bolts? Mine have about 90k on them so figuared id ask if its a worthwhile upgrade

Replacing ACT HD clutch which as been awesome, I see they have an extreme line that claims to hold to 545 TQ level.....Any have and enjoy?

Thanks for the help!

When it was time for mine, I went with a Stage 2 clutch from ZSpeed. South Bend IIRC makes theirs. Slightly stronger sprung cover plate and sprung hub disc, on a lightweight steel FW. Also went with the ZSpeed HD CSC, line, and the ARP bolt set that ZSpeed sells (they basically have an install kit with redline/motul fluids and all the hardware). For what i was spending on labor, made sense to replace everything inside at once.

Prior to Infiniti, my go-to with RX-7s was the ACT HD on a Prolite flywheel, so I know that setup pretty well. I think the ZSpeed is a little softer grabbing, but power handling should be similar.

If I have any regrets, it's that I went with the 20# steel lightweight flywheel and I should have gone lighter. I don't really notice the LWFW at all.

CMAK for me wasn't an option because no one would install it and I don't have the resources to do a trans swap myself (IE, lift).

Finally got my clutch installed and went with Zspeed Stage 3 with lighter flywheel, and CMAK. In breakin period now but wow the clutch pedal is so soft! Much softer than my ACT clutch. Noise is very minimal and seems very street friendly so far..

more updates soon!

Did you get the light steel or the AL flywheel?

I think that's the one I got too. Didn't notice much of a difference (a little) but not nearly as much as the aluminum ACT unit on my RX7.
