Ongoing Rough Idle Issue
Ongoing Rough Idle Issue
My 2013 G37X is going to the dealership for the third time for the same issue. The car has a very rough idle on startup. Sometimes it even seems like it backfires a bit and sputters. After thirty seconds or so, it smooths out. This happens for a few days. Then eventually it throws an engine code related to coil #2 and my rpms are about 200-300 high at all times after that.
The issue started after after having service done where they replaced spark plugs along with doing some other normal 100K mike stuff. I brought it back with the issue. They blamed it on air in the coolant system. They did a service. Smooth for maybe a day or two, and then the issue returned.
I took it back in. This time they say it is the coil. Coil replaced at no charge. This time it stays smooth for about six days, and now the issue has returned.
I told them from from the beginning I never experienced the issue until the spark plugs were replaced. I really think it has to be something there, but I wanted to see if anyone has had a similar issue.
