Not trying to be funny but you can always try disconnecting the battery and then connecting it back on.. Mite reset the error?

Yes I've tried that. Not to sure what could be causing this. I've done as much research as I can on it.

Not sure what's causing this but there is a pin underneath the gearbox that clicks when you change gears - Maybe that is broken? not too sure about this but guessing right now

I'm sure someone can help you in time. Good luck

Yeah its just gotta be a sensor or something not catching while you put it in park. Should be fairly simple but no idea where it is, sorry..

I figured it's gonna end up being something small. I've been playing with it. replaced the shift lock relay. still no luck.

I have this happen all the time. There's a pin that gets stuck under the shifter. If you have an aftermarket shift **** it may be on too tight. If its stock that white pin may just be getting stuck in a less than full released position. Try taking the **** off and lubricating. This always seems to work for me. Really frustrating issue though

still no luck. the white pin that goes into the shifter seems to be working correctly. It locks into park and won't let me go into reverse. but still indicates the light on gauge cluster, and constant beeping.

Have you tried pulling up on the white pin? Mine will engage in park even if the pun isn't all the way up

I'll try that today. is there a how to, on taking off that interior plastic surrounding the shifter? I'd like to get underneath it to further diagnose if this isn't the problem.

This happened to me this morning... 2013 G37 Sedan. I drove it to the dealership and let them worry about it - the car is under full warranty anyway.

I will post here when I get an explanation.
