Drivetrain has a slight stutter?

I don't know if I am describing it properly.
When I start the car up after it sits overnight there is a very slight jerkiness to it when driving down my street. The tach and speedometer remain steady.
When I get to the corner, about a mile away, it smooth's out. Since it is a residential block I am only driving around 30 mph. If I give it a bit more gas when I notice it, it goes away.
After the initial faint stuttering/jerkiness, which only lasts a little over a minute, the car runs great.
I thought I was being too critical, but the wife noticed it also.
I called the dealership and they said I would have to leave it overnight so they could feel it for themselves. This is logical but they are 50 miles away so I would have to drive 100 miles 2 separate days, to have it looked at.
I was wondering if any other owners have experienced this?
My warranty runs out in March, so I'm thinking I should bite the bullet and bring it in.

Since purchasing my car in October, I noticed this happens more when the car is cold. I wonder if I can make the assumption that it's just when the trans and diff fluid is cold? Once I've driven for about 3-5 minutes, I no longer notice the jerkiness or stutter...

I've always had issues withe the car driving smoothly <40mph regardless of the temperature. They (the $tealer) says it's "normal." It's a characteristic of the 7-spd transmission. Something to do with the tq converter locking and unlocking (feels like it doesn't know what gear to be in). I personally think "b/c that's the way it is" isn't a justfiable reason for the way it is. This reason alone makes me want to trade in my G.

I have no problem with the driveability of the G, as far as the engine or auto transmission. It is just the minor jerkiness the first 1 or 2 minutes when starting it cold.

I have owned the car almost 4 years and have read the numerous complaints about the transmission, but I have zero complaints about it.
I keep a close eye on the G37 forum, so when I read about a problem that an owner is experiencing it makes me pay more attention to that aspect of the car.

I get the same thing occasionally. I always thought it was the awd roughly engaging, but I really had no idea.

My tranny has been cranky with the cold mornings this week - definitely getting that "hunting" feeling until it's fully warmed up.
