Motordyne M370 & RJM pedal.

Got to do some first time mods to my G37.

Ordered my M370 through B2Auto, quick shipping and good service.
The M370 definitely added some midrange torque to the car, there is now a really nice, sweet spot in between 4-5k rpm where the car just goes, though you feel the extra torque as early as 3.5k rpm. I didn't feel any high RPM losses, though I'm sure a dynograph would reflect a slight (1-3hp) loss on the top end of the RPM range. It seems that the people who weren't happy with their IMs were already tuned prior to installing the M370. My car is completely stock and this is the first engine mod that I did to it. To me, this was very well worth it.

The RJM pedal is awesome. It makes the car much easier to drive. There is no shuddering when taking off from a dead stop, and 1st to 2nd shifts are now easy. If you're less than happy with the way your G37 shifts, this is the best remedy for it. The install was a royal pita, so if you have the dough and a shop you like, you should let them handle it. Though, it's very well within your average DIYer's capabilities.

Hopefully this will help someone out when shopping for the mentioned things.

It's not an exhaust, it's an intake manifold.

Nice, but are you sure gained anything or is it just a placebo in effect.

I've been debating if I should pick one up since I'm 15mns Away from Motordyne.

it was my favorite addition so far. cant comment on the gain from a dyno test yet, but i feel the increase in power and isnt that what its all about? it is an especially nice feeling accelerating out of turns. and the sound from inside the cabin is great, i havent had the radio on since i installed it last month.

Motordyne makes quality products. I'm sure you picked up a few HP. Post a dyno sheet and pictures when available. Thanks for the review!

I'm pretty sure I did. Plus, on the 370z there is more than one person with dyno proven gains. The only thing about this mod is that you actually loose 1-3 peak hp (7-7.5k) but gain around 10hp throughout the midrange RPM band.

The people on the 370z forums who did loose HP with this mod were those who were already tuned. For example, if you have HFCs, an intake and a tune, you'd have to retune to make this mod work.

And as someone already mentioned, they make the car sound great as well.

There probably won't be a dyno, I'm on a bit of a budget. I did my research on the 370z forums and went by other peoples' dynos. But here are some pictures.

Installed mine 2 days ago and love it so far. I've only driven about 40 miles with it and haven't taken it to redline yet. I wanted to give it some miles to make sure there aren't any problems or leaks.

Can't wait to install my E370 on Wednesday!

I haven't done much research on this unit. Can you still use your OEM engine cover? I'm also assuming it sits higher, and you cannot use an aftermarket strut bar?

Yessir, you can use the oem cover and should have no problem with a strut bar. From what I can tell it doesnt sit any higher than the stock manifold but dont quote me on that. I used the rear brackets as a reference to its height and they lined up perfectly.

Yes the oem cover fits and the strut bar as well np. I want to know more about what the spacer do and the difference in gain or loss with different options. Any info?

when i installed it on my 2013 IPL i noticed it did sit higher than the OEM when i put the engine cover on. my cover bent when I put the bolts on, nothing drastic but could definitely tell. for my model, i was not able to put the middle bolt on for the engine cover too due to the plate. i'm planning on tuning my car after i get my RHFC installed, i'll post the dyno sheets when i do that.

If this is true, I don't see how the strut bar clears. The GTspec slightly rubs the heat shield even the best adjustments. The Cusco clears but with little room to spare.

Just figured I'd ask... Many people are running aftermarket strut bars. This info would be helpful. I'm still assuming the strut bar wouldn't clear. If someone has detailed pictures, that would be helpful.

I was able to install my Cusco bar using a credit card as a spacer above the engine cover following the motordyne install. There was still a little more room to move the bar up towards the hood. I notice that it does rubs against my engine cover during normal use but nothing too damaging. I haven't seen any rubbing on my heat shield.

I think the cover is raised more towards the middle of engine cover, the plate that comes with the motordyne manifold raises it right where a bolt is supposed to go (see pictures).
