just got my 08 Infiniti G37 5-spd auto transmission replaced

I was driving the car in Drive (D) around 3k rpm going into second gear the transmission with starting jerking and kicking, I dropped it off at the dealer and they replaced the transmission, I was told the internal clutch went bad.

I could not find any service bulletins or anyone else having this problem.

I am grateful my tranny has held up with no issues at all. 84,000 miles and runs strong, I pray I don't run into a tranny replacement! I don't wanna know the cost lol. At least you got a new tranny man. I have a 08 btw!

I dont know if there is any difference but my 2008 g37 has production date Aug/07, I was thinking maybe the transmission was revised like a lot of infiniti parts are, because they whiched the 2009 G37 to a 7 speed transmission

Yea Im happy with my 5 spd too!! I raced a few when mine was stock against other stock cars and i was a small bit quicker. Out of probably 5 to 6 runs, mine has 38,120 miles now but so far so good. I think i may try the Trans Go kit soon.
