Dyno results single turbo build g37s

406 whp on 5.5 lbs of boost, spring pressure couldn't get my boost controller to stick was spiking and dropping. Hope to make 500 plus on 10 psi. audio sounds bad for some reason sorry guys.

Poll: Wheel horse power per pound of boost?

What kind of hp per pound of boost are you forced induction guys seeing.
Say stock 260 whp
5.5 lb boost 406 whp
134 whp / 5.5 about 25 hp per pound

Post up your forced induction setups and results on stock engines

Anyone still running a stock clutch like me still grabs hard at 400 hp well see how it does closer to 475.

^^^ This napkin equation falls exactly in line with our results. I made 590whp with 13lbs boost.

NA = 260whp.
13lbs x 25hp = 325whp
260 + 325 = 585whp.

What type/brand boost controller?

Coop

I guess we are all pretty close with our calculations. I made 651 at 13psi.
30hp x 13 psi = 390
Base hp 270 + 390 = 660hp

Do you both have completely stock engines?
I have a greddy boost controller I had laying around for a few years now. I herd those solenoids go bad here and there. Just gonna pickup a manual controller turn that to 10 psi and hope the clutch holds.

Once I upgrade to the twin disc id like to make hp like you two are making. g37sTampa I know you were on race gas to make 651, have you upgraded anything else? Are you running meth? I think you injectors might be a little bigger then mine. I'm rocking 550cc I think I'm gonna run out of fuel around 550whp and 10psi. Coop is your 585 on pump gas?

My engine is completely stock , but I drive my car daily at 9 psi and make around 530, no meth . Be very careful making 550 with those injectors , your really pushin it. What type of fuel pump are you running?

From: Framingham Ma,
The math sounds a little off to me, I made 298WHP before my SC, Made 412 after so +114WHP @ 9 PSI only = 13.22 per PSI or am I suppsoed to do this with my stock run, Which was 270WHP? Then would be close at 15 WHP per PSI.

Probably an apples to oranges comparison since you are running SC instead of turbo. HP loss to drive the supercharger will account for the difference, I bet...

What he said ^^^^^

I lost the clutch at 7 psi and 470 hp. Later completely smoked the clutch on the drive home from the dyno. The car was so fun to drive I've decided to sell the piping kit and turbo. Then go ahead and build the bottom end, pickup with a twin disc clutch and use my newly gifted Borg Warner s372. It's a tight fit so I have to modify the pipes enough for me to just start from scratch.

I'd let the turbo and all piping with intercooler go for 2500$ this includes my custom trans crossmember with the intake air box. For 2200$ I'll include my stock but modified transmission crossmember that will require an intake routed to front of car.

That's the front cover proped up in those pics it's tight but it fits. The backside is much bigger so I have to **** it a little but it will look good when it's done.

Get an FP HTA 3576 or a HTA30xx turbo, its true dual ballbearing with a billet compressor wheel...i had this on my Talon and hit full boost @4200 on a 2.0 4cylinder, imagine what it would be on a 3.7 v6!!!!
