SO since its cheaper because of the internal wastegates on the turbos, if I wanted to external wastegates, would the rest of the kit be the same, or is this just a whole new setup?
This is a completely different turbo from the GTM stage II. I know the turbos are a completely different type from the Greddy ball bearing turbos in the stage II kit. I don't think an external wastegate is an option with these (unless you modify the turbo itself).
I'm sure if you call GTM they can elaborate.
We will release pricing once we do the press release. The idea of this kit is to have them on the shelf ready to go. That requires stocking up on parts in large quantities. We are gearing up for it so that way it can ship within a day or two of ordering instead of 2 - 3 weeks like our Garrett kits which are assembled to order.
Also, this kit does not fit the AWD car as we already have an AWD Twin Turbo Kit developed which was a very challenging thing to do and we're not very excited about doing it again. lol
Since we are using the same exhaust manifolds as our Garrett based kit which has provisions for external gates, external wastegates are certainly an option you can add.

I stand COMPLETELY corrected!
Sam told me I could add external waste gates and have improved boost control.
This is an option I may explore in the future
Any updates on this project from either wattles or GTM? You could say I am very intrigued by this setup
The car runs very well. I have been driving of about 1500 miles now. The turbos are really responsive and a ton of fun! I have loads of power when I want it. The boost controller remote on my steering wheel comes in handy when I want to smoke someone in an M3 on the road.
I have low boost set at about 8-9psi and high around 11-12psi (where Sam set it). When I hit high I have ton of torque and acceleration.
There is still one bug to work out with the manifold spacing, but I believe Sam said he will have the new design perfected and into production within a Minh or so.
All in all, having this as a daily driver is a blast. O have to remind myself that I can't abuse the car too much or something might give out with all this power!
Still driving strong at 5,000 miles. Great power! The AT seems to slip a bit. I'm worried it may not last. The kit puts out power, I can vouch for that!
No word yet on the final updated exhaust manifold for this kit. I'm anxiously awaiting the news.

Damn, that isn't good to hear! Did you get any upgrades for the tranny?

I got a valve body upgrade, but I'm afraid with over 500whp I'm pushing it too hard when I shift at full throttle. That's a lot of torque in 3rd gear wide open throttle!

So in the span of 3500 miles, you went from a good AT to having it potentially slip even with the valve body upgrade? Very interested in your continuous updates. Hoping GTM can also chime in on how close they are to the press release and more detail on the finalized production kit.
