popping noise

hello! i drive a 2010 G37s coupe with 7k on it. i noticed it when i was stepping out of my car, i heard a popping sound like popcorn is popping. i think its coming from somewhere in the middle bottom of the car. its about 34 degrees outside that night. it happens every time when i shut off my car. i want to know if anyone else experienced the same problem. thanks in advance!

When hot metal starts to cool down, it makes this noise. All cars/exhaust systems do this to some extent.
