I've been Having light pinging too. Especially on hot days it gets bad.I notice after it pings my idle goes up and it doesn't ping again until I restart the car. I'm guessing timing is getting pulled.I have heard catch cans can reduce pinging.I'm hoping it will help along with some ester oil.
