I read a couple of threads about hte gear swaps and this would be something I would be contemplating. I have the AWD though so do you think that buying 2 differentials for the G37S coupe and swapping them for the differentials of the G37xS coupe (AWD + 7AT) would be feasable? I'm looking for 3.69 gears, just to give a good punch without increasing highway mileage too much...

That would be a good stealth mod to really turn the car into more of a beast...

There is no "Real front diff on our cars( Like a EVO or STI). We are not AWD all the time only when the rears slip if kicks power to the front wheels. Take a look under the car and see how small it is. I would love to swap my gears but UH nope.

I would love to do a gear swap too for my x. I dont understand why it's not possible. If there is not a front differential, then what if you just change the rear diff? Will that mess it up?

 

There is a transfer case( Realy small).With different gears the rears would spin a lot faster and probaly engage the T case all the time, You'd most likely burn the t case out of the car.
