Updating the ECU...

I read somewhere that for 2011 G37x sedans, if we go to the dealership/ Infiniti's service department we can get the ECU updated to the IPL version and get an extra 15 hp, for a price of course, is this true?

I highly doubt they would do that at the dealership.

You're better off with a custom UpRev tune and besides, I would say around half of that IPL 15hp comes from the less restrictive catback

I hope this applies to 2010 as well if it's true. I'd pay to get the extra 15. Subscribed.

i highly doubt its true.. the IPL gets most of its power with the bigger catback...

Moving onto the mechanical upgrades, the IPL G Coupe benefits from a tweaked engine with a recalibrated ECU and a new high-flow exhaust system pushing output from 330-horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, to 348HP and 276 lb-ft.

he handles the gtr tuning@cobb.
you are correct they don't support the 2010& up.
dealer did a reflash & lost my tune after I uninstalled.
