I don't think stillen will pay for anything since he pretty much voided his CARB legal status by installing them headers.(if his was a CARB kit)

"Two days before catastrophy the owner had Stillen headers added to the car and was informed there was no need for a tune change."

No tune change from stock headers to stillen headers? Stillen just smoked themselves.

Well, GTM is the best out there, i would trust them more then the dealerships that don't give a s*** about your car.

Unless, Stillen really did say that a retune wasn't needed, which is basically an admission that their headers do nothing to improve flow.
Mike,
I have to say that as everyone out there pretty much knows that Stillen headers aren't worth the expense and trouble even with a tune... they just don't flow much better than the stock manifolds. I have the Stillen headers on my car and the GTM SC with a standard "canned" tune and have no A/F issues due to not having a custom tune for adding headers.
I think it is probably just a coincidence that this motor blew two days after headers being installed, probably would have popped anyway with all the detonation the Stillen kits are getting
known for...
Just my two penneys....

Doesn't sound like that was the issue here... But that post on the other site never clarified who installed the headers/didn't suggest a new tune.

So for now, it really is unfair to blame this on the Stillen S/C kit.
