Nice! Hopefully the good news will continue, keep us posted.

No VIN's. Based on ECM and TCM Part Numbers... Hope this helps out.

2010 - 2011 G37; SHIFT RESPONSIVENESS ISSUES

APPLIED VEHICLES: 2010-2011 G37 (V36/CV36)
APPLIED ENGINE: VQ37VHR
APPLIED TRANSMISSION: 7 speed

IF YOU CONFIRM
One or more of these conditions:

<DIR><DIR>• Harsher than expected down shifts when coasting to a stop.
• Hesitation/lag when accelerating after coasting.
• Hesitation/lag or harsher than expected down shifts when coming to a stop and accelerating again (rolling stop).
• Engine rev matching during moderate to heavy braking.

NOTE:
This is normal ASC (Adaptive Shift Control) operation that can be removed from normal drive mode, but will remain in sport mode.
</DIR></DIR>
ACTION

  1. Refer to step 6 in the SERVICE PROCEDURE to confirm this bulletin applies to the vehicle you are working on.
  2. If this bulletin applies, reprogram the
    ECM and TCM.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

This procedure will require reprogramming of the ECM and TCM; which means most steps in this procedure will need to be done twice.

  • Most instructions for reprogramming with CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus) are displayed on the CONSULT PC screen.
  • If you are not familiar with the reprogramming procedure, click here. This will link you to the "CONSULT- III plus (C-III plus) Reprogramming" general procedure.

Preparation for Reprogramming

NOTE:
  • After ECM reprogramming is complete, you will be required to perform Throttle Valve Closed Position, Idle Air Volume Learn (IAVL), and Accelerator Closed Position.
  • The above conditions are required for the IAVL to complete.
  • Take the vehicle for a 10 minute drive in order to meet the following Idle Air Volume Learn (IAVL) conditions:

    • Engine coolant temperature: 70 -100°C (158 - 212°F)
    • Battery voltage: More than 12.9V (At idle)
    • Transmission: Warmed up
<DIR></DIR>CAUTION:

  • Connect a battery charger to the vehicle battery. The vehicle battery voltage must stay between 12.0V and 15.5V during reprogramming, or the ECM/TCM may be damaged.
  • Be sure to turn OFF all vehicle electrical loads. If a vehicle electrical load remains ON, the ECM/TCM may be damaged.
  • Be sure to connect the AC Adapter. If the CONSULT PC battery voltage drops during reprogramming, the process will be interrupted and the ECM/TCM may be damaged.
  • Turn off all external Bluetooth® devices (e.g., cell phones, printers, etc.) within range of the CONSULT PC and the VI. If Bluetooth® signal waves are within range of the CONSULT PC during reprogramming, reprogramming may be interrupted and the ECM/TCM may be damaged.

Current ECM or TCM Part Number column in Table A on next page.
  • If there is a match, this bulletin applies. Continue with the reprogramming procedure.
  • If there is not a match, reprogramming does not apply. Make sure to check both ECM and TCM for a match.

Has anyone successfully convinced the dealership about the 2009s? Mine is still not as smooth as the newer ones that I've driven before.

Yesterday, while driving on a local suburban road at 35-40 mph, not fully warmed [but doesn't seem to matter anyway], stepped on the brakes to allow a car in front to make a turn, then stepped on the gas and what hesitation: count 1....2..... felt like the car stalled, then vrooom, it takes hold and takes off. I can't stand it.
I know this is a bit dated, but this is exactly how I feel about my 2011 G37. I truly cannot stand it! Every time you brake and then accelerate you get that gosh awful 1-2 second hesitation. The absolute worst driving experience ever. Sad, because the car is overall a good car.

I have the car in the shop, getting the update. The SA said that they are fully aware of the issue and have had a bunch of customer complaints about the transmission already. He also mentioned a Stillen grounding kit that helps the hesitation; doesnt fix it. He said that there is a lag in communication between the computer and trans/throttle position/revs/torque converter. There is nothing that they, the dealership, can do other than to wait on Infiniti to come out with a fix. According to Infiniti, its operating the way it is designed. At least he didnt feed me BS and was honest about it. Anyone try the Stillen grounding kit and notice a difference?

Back from dealer. Got the reprogram done on my 2011

First impressions:

_____LAG_____IS______GONE______

DOMO (yes 8 of them)

Yep, got my update today. No more delay/lag. Didn't get to put a lot of miles on it yet, but it also seems to respond more quickly to your right foot (downshift), and pulling away from a stop seems a bit easier to modulate. Before, it was hard to pick anything between "slow" and "rocket launch" mode.

Almatti, are you here? RUN to your Infiniti dealer!!

"He also mentioned a Stillen grounding kit that helps the hesitation"

Typical service adviser, absolutely no clue what he is talking about.
Unless wires are loose and/or corroded, a grounding kit will do nothing except separate you from your money.
