The reprogram made a huge difference in the driveability of the car, very happy.
Mind if I ask what update was applied?

Its been forever since I had my '11 updated but I didnt think I saw any new updates since that one.

Thanks.

Mine had never been updated, I assume it was the latest update available.

This update doesn't include G's that are newer than 2011. It's an update worth getting for sure. My car used to bog a lot in traffic and it would have awkward downshifts but now it drives a lot smoother... no other noticeable changes in my opinion.

It neutered DS mode from what it was before the update IMO. Still, I like it better now.

Another very positive result to report, I took my 2009 coupe in and asked for ITB12-027d, They reprogrammed both TCM and ECM both were out of date.

Result:
1-2 shift smoother less abrupt
downshifts in D done at much lower rpm when coming to a stop so much smoother
DS less aggressive, but it's good I drive in DS much more often now
much improved throttle response and acceleration (maybe due to ECM update)

Charged me $150 but I got a free oil change just because I asked for a discount.

SO I finally bit the bullet and scheduled the service. Night and day difference. I am very pleased with it. They initially told me it would be $140 (1 hour labor), but I told them that some dealers agree to do it for a half hour labor. When everything was done, he told me that he discounted it to $100.

What if you still are under warranty? Do they do the update for free?

The 027 update was released about 2-3 years ago as of now. The service bulletin pointed to pages back should list the official date of release into the Nissan computers.

I read the first few pages but I didn't notice anyone else having my issues. I have a '08 with the 5sp auto and have these exact same issues. Lots of lag while downshifting or stepping on the gas and it hesitating to accelerate, hard up shift to 3rd.. Is it just my tranny or is this a known issue on the 5 speeds as well?

If you are still under warranty then it should be free.

I recently picked up a 2013 x sedan. Is this update something I should look into or is it not applicable due to the year?

I think that it will not apply since the '13 already has the updated software. But it doesn't hurt to call the dealer and ask.
