G37 7speed transmission reprogram
Just had my 2010 S Sedan updated yesterday. No more lag or downshift jerks at all, throttle is noticeably more responsive and gear shifts both up and down are alot smoother. I was in debate about having it done but just bit the bullet because it was under factory warranty. My service advisor looked up the update by my vin. The car now feels like it has some real horsepower and i would highly recommend to have it done.
I've seen a guide on how to update the tranny, but I can't find it, if anyone know where it is please help me. I'm from Mongolia and the Nissan dealer technician has no idea what I'm talking about when I mentioned the update to him and he said if I can find out how to do it he will update my car tranny.
Please HELP!

^ Well, went to the dealer today for a headlight that was out and complained while I was there about the transmission. They gave me the 027 Update.
I will have to report back on how it works out under normal driving. They said to try it out and see how the update works out for me and if I wasn't happy bring it back in??
I have a 2011, wonder what they would do if I was unhappy with the 027 update???? Anyone?

^ None of that SH%#, but so far I am liking the reflash. It accelerates much smoother and more seamlessly. When using manual mode the shifts are a bit quicker and again smoother. So far very happy.
Hopefully re-learn will not default to prior behavior.

Well, I'm going to take the plunge and get my TCU updated. I never really had much of a problem with it until recently, the dang thing started doing everything that people on this forum have been complaining about. Here I thought I was out of the woods since it has 64K on it and it wasn't bad yet. It scared the he** out of me yesterday coming to work, when I had to get out of the way of a car coming at me from the left and, until I put the pedal THROUGH the floor, it just sat there for almost 3 seconds.
I immediately called Lupient Infinity locally here and made an appointment. The Advisor (??!!) knew right away that it needed the TCU updated and said they would have me in and out in about 20 min. Next Wednesday is my appt and it can't come soon enough. I'm SO glad they didn't give me the run around on this. Now I'm just hoping they don't try and charge me for this...especially since I was a sucker and got the Premium 7/100,000 warranty.

I recently purchased a 2011 G37x (30k) and didn't notice anything wrong while on the test drives. However once I had the car for a few days I noticed something strange. I was cruising to a red light and the car starts aggressively down shifting and for a second I thought my brakes were applying. This continues to happen after weeks of ownership, as well as some lag or hesitation on different occasions. The car is still under warranty so I took it to the local dealership, for a different very minor issue, and mentioned the transmission quirks while I was there. They said no problem and that they would check it out. Got a call back later saying that they were going to perform an ECM reprogram which falls under the warranty. I don't have the car back yet, but once I do I will be sure to report back with an update.
Aside from that issue I have enjoyed the car and miss it already.

NSH, I'm sure you will like the way it drives when you get it back. The flash is a LOT smoother, and seems to hold the gears a little longer when in the higher RPM's. It just seems to be in the right gear all the time which was not the case before.

Just got the TSB reflash and it was a night and day difference on my '10 g37xs sedan. The car is actually driveable without cursing and cringing while it tries to figure out how proper gear changes should happen.
I finally got the update done, and I must say, it is WAY better at shifting than it was before. I am REAL happy with it now, not just happy. I haven't run it through every variable yet, but after about 700 miles, it is a real joy. Hopefully it doesn't revert back to its bad habits. Good luck.
