So you are saying that the latest update should not rev match when downshifting with the paddles while in D?

No. Just to clarify:

The latest update (027) always rev matches with the paddles, in both D and DS.

When driving in D, withOUT using the paddles, it does not seem to rev match the automatic downshifts that it makes when entering a turn or braking (or any other time). The downshifts are completed without any "drama" of a rev match, but they are still done smoothly.

When driving in DS withOUT using the paddles, there ARE rev matches in the above conditions, and they are very noticeable.

For the 4th gear down shifts, paddle or DS, the revs go way down and then kick in late causing a thud.

Read and decide if you need it. I have an 09 with the stock programming and have no interest in having my gearbox reflashed for the lag issue.

The only reflash I want is one that will lock up all gears higher than 5th in sports mode at speed under 45mph's. When that one gets released I'm in. I'm tired of cruising around town in top gear.

Several months and several thousand miles since my update.

Recently I experienced severe flare in the 3-4 upshift in all 3 modes (D, DS, M). It was in hot weather, after sitting in stop-and-go traffic for almost an hour. 500-1000 RPM flare. Very unsettling.

I wasn't able to duplicate it so I'd probably be wasting my time to take it in.

Anyone else get this?

Mine is still experiencing lag when ti should be downshifting from 4th or 5th. Was pulling into a parking garage today, made a turn down a row and stabbed at the throttle (garage was empty so it was safe).

Instead of a nice downshift it just stayed in whatever gear it was (4th or 5th since we all know it shifts into those way too early) and gradually "dug itself out of the mud" in that gear. It SHOULD have downshifted at least 1, maybe even 2 gears but it didnt do anything.

Still havent reset the ECU, Im sure everything will go away at that point but for how long?

Still cant understand why so many people here have the same (or close) performance now as they do when it was initially flashed. Mine is completely different, minus the "hiccup" when coasting and then accelerating....that part still works, but the rest (correct gear, quick downshifts, etc) is gone, in my car anyway.

I think I'm experiencing the same issues you've described. When I initially had the update done, if I got on it slightly around 40-50 mph it would immediately downshift a gear. Now, it just sits in the same gear until the RPM gets past 3k then you can actually feel the car accelerating. I'd have to press on the accelerating much more to get it to actually downshift like 2 gears. I'm sure it has something to do with me sitting in stop and go traffic 2 hours a day.

Yeah Im suspicious that is has something to do with my driving habits.....my car doesnt get driven everyday. When I initially had it flashed I drove it everyday, then once it sat undriven for a few days the lag seemed to come back.

^ very odd, my car can sit for a week or so which it does very often since I don't drive too much anymore and seems to still drive the same post tcm/ecm update. Yesterday was the first day driving my car after 6 days of sitting and it felt fine.

I'm not experiencing those issues. It's been a little over 2k miles and almost three months since the update.

My 2010 Coupe has been doing this since day 1. It currently has ~17,500 miles on it and had been to the dealer 3 times to try to fix it. They've applied all TSB's, but the 3-4 flare is still there.

I will be rid of this POS by the end of the year.
