You're running a meth set-up for a SC??? A Stillen SC??? Lols.
Way overkill and in the short and long run costing u a lot of money.
Curious, how much did ur meth set-up cost?

Hi guys,

I have a 2011 G37x that comes with AWD and a 7 speed auto transmission, as all of you know, the Infiniti 7 speed auto transmission isn't the fastest of them. So, I was wondering, for my case, is it better to have a twin-turbo or supercharger? What advantages twin-turbo has over superchargers?

Thanks

A Meth setup is not that expensive if you do it right. And I am not sure how you think its overkill. In fact I noticed quite a bit of difference after install.

I still don't get why people don't like the Stillen SC. If installed correctly it runs AMAZING! The only issue is that many of the people quoting they have done it and its not worked well have not done correct installs. You can not use the wiring supplied and you have to make sure you do everything right "to a T". If its done professionally and correct, you will have amazing results!

As I heard it mentioned in another thread. "We here about all the bad installs for the Stillen SC but never here about the ones that are installed correctly and run great"... ie. me! I love my Stillen SC and wouldn't trade it for a TT kit any day!

question..

Just upped the fuel (pump and injectors) and swapped out the OEM cats for test pipes and my car is making less power. Any ideas? Does the charger need the back pressure from the cats? I'm thinking its a boost leak.

From: Framingham Ma,
You need to upgrade the MAF's to make more than 450, I bet his voltage was running out . Mine was on Stock manifolds also. Just a handful of other things Enjoy, God I miss that sound

So the stillen headers actually helped out too? I had read some threads mentioning the FI LTH actually hurt performance but 450whp is no joke. Look slike you were able to hold 9psi too even with the headers huh?

do you have any rasp from them or did you wrap them to keep the heat in and improve the sound output?

edit; also regarding the test pipes, you definitely have much more free flow. did you retune after getting the TPs installed? your tuner should have access to all that information but if the exhaust is too free flowing you will get more efficiency, but also some of the boost will leak into the exhaust and effectively drop your PSI. I've read stories that it should balance out to equal power with less boost but Ive also heard this platform paired with too free flowing of an exhaust paired to a SC is a rare occurrence where power is actually lost despite the theory behind it.

on top of the MAFs you need to upgrade your fuel system... not just injectors and pump.... in order for me to make a lot more power on E85 and 1000cc injectors i had to run a twin fuel pump setup like the GTRs have and a full fuel system return... The MAFs are one thing but if you dont have enough fuel getting to your motor you will lean it out and melt the rings on at least one of the cylinders....trust me i learned the hard way... i had to replace the long block

Found a hair line cut in one of the intake tube vacuum lines, this could be the culprit!

Okay guys who have this system LOOK OUT!!!!
Long story short I have 18k miles on the kit I bought new from Stillen in 2010 so warranty is up. Well the other day my car hydro locked from Stillen's manifold inter cooler. they told me this is the first that they have seen this issue and I need to buy a new replacement for with with the whole manifold for over $1100. Is it me or is this unreasonable? At this point I think this maybe a flaw in the inter cooler and can cost you a new engine. Buyers beware. .

install was correct according to trent and the valve bodies have no connection to hydro lock as you can see this is an inter cooler issue not valve body. the install was done through a stillen dealer they sent me to get the install done in the first place. the o rings as see in this pick show the rings where in fact installed correctly and somewhere along the line of going to local shops stillen paid for trying to get the car running right may have added it at any point. the car took three years to get running without limp mode with verious tunes. Stillen has been great to me and I am now way saying they are bad. Im clearly posting my newest issue and think all should be aware and give me input on the issue as stated in post.

Is it me or is this unreasonable?
