Nope, sometimes the car would pull like crazy, but I think that's normal. Good thing you took it to the dealer.

My money's on a possessed ECU. Similar things have happen in regards to rev limiting and limping, some have just gone away never to happen again. An ECU reset is an easy thing to try. There are many VTECH spirits that have not crossed over, invoking the power of nismo to compel them to the nether world may be in order. If it's not happening now I bet the dealer will give you one of these.... Hopefully it won't happen again, if it does perform the ECU reset ceremony.

Let us know what the dealer does, what is your date of manufacture, Vin#_ _ _ xxx. Possibly they will do a software revision...I am curious to know what part number they use for that (and what the previous sw p/n was). Thanks.

For me, the ECU was reprogrammed up from 70c to 86a (last digits of software part number, i believe), due to the RPM surge issue.

something like that happend to me too onlly for one day and like 5-10 mins and it became back to normal. When i tryed to gas the gas pedal wasnt responding until like few seconds later and the rpm jumps and it makes some guzzling noise. I have a 6mt and i only have injen intake on my car.
