Resetting ECM

I was wondering if the ECM was reset or swapped out it wouldn't effect the mileage reading right? I think on Nissan/Infiniti cars I'm pretty sure it's stored on a chip in the cluster right?

from what i understand that is correct.. what exactly are you trying to accomplish?

yea, it's not that easy to reset your odometer.

I'm not trying to reset the odometer. Ever since my battery was disconnected the moonroof settings are acting wierd. I was going to reset the ECU to fix it. I was worried it might ruin the mileage or something.
