i' using a synthitic blend pil. in terms of brand of oil, just go with a reputable brand name and not a generic autozone etc. of course if you want the best, i assume it's Mobile One

Be sure to keep the receipt. Staple it to the maintenance manual if you can. You may need it later for warranty works.

MOTUL V300 FTMFW! It is more expensive but for those car crazy guys its worth it. I look at it as good insurance for the life of the car. The car simply cant run without oil..however at the end of the day oil is oil and people will argue about it for hours but if you are like me and many other g enthusiasts i would recommend for peace in mind getting motul v300.

He likely did an oil change early into his "break-in" period to drain the initial oil fill that might be contaminated with metallic/particulate matter that might damage the engine. Definitely not required to do, just done by some enthusiasts.

depends on how much you care for your car.

for me, i use royal purple synthetic 10W-30 for my S2000 every 2500 miles( i track my car), and i do all the oil change by myself.

and i go to nearest gas station who does oil change for my G or i go to anywhere offers cheapest price. chevron does it for 25 dollars for me. dont really care too much for G

i run motul 300v which is the best out there. you dont have to run anything that crazy though. motul 8100, royal purple, amsoil, german castrol are all great synthetics.

oh and for your information, mobil 1 is no longer a TRUE synthetic.

I was just at the Mobil website not long ago. They still say that Mobil 1 is a full synth. So what's changed?

Nissan Ester Oil 5w-30 FTMFW!! Very pricey unless you got a hookup. List price is anywhere from $13- $16 but I get mine for dealers price which is about $8 and some change.

i believe they started using certain additives that took it down from a class iv to class iii oil. you can search my350z - theres a ton of info on there.
