How to know when to........?

How do i know when to seafoam????

my g has 28,xxx miles on it and bought it with 25,xxx.

1) Is this to early? I hear yall talk about once a year so should this be my once a year?
2) Even if this is 2 early with it mess anything up by poring half in vacuum and half in gas tank? (fresh synthetic oil change so not poring any in there...)
3) I have a z1 intake manifold/tune, should i do anything differently?
4) I don't really have any problems that i know of, just wanted to do it since i just got the car...
5) Worst case scenario id just wait 8$ and it wouldn't needed to be cleaned?

cant wait to be like bat out of hell till the smoke stops....wait i do that all the time. o well

U

Don't need it. I've only used it on really high mileage vehicles. Usually 175k+ miles.

I don't see a reason to do it with so few miles unless you got a fuel issue or some kind of dirt in the tank.

Also, not all vehicles smoke. I did 2003 tahoe with over 200k miles. No smoke at all.

Actually you don't want to do it on a fresh oil change either, since some of that particulate matter will find its way into the oil. We always did it right before an oil change because there was always a bunch of carbon dust that ended up in the oil.

You'd be better off with using fuel system cleaner once every couple of months for now, Seafoam is really meant to deal with serious carbon deposits.

Never need to use seafoam especially on a late model car like our G37.

Snake oil

I did a Seafoam on my 2008 G37S a couple weeks ago. I have 89,000 miles

I used the brake booster line and let it sip the Seafoam in slowly. Let it sit for 30 mins and followed procedures to burn it off.

It improved my acceleration and throttle response noticeably.

It works, but it's by no means a miracle cure, nor does it clean anything to the point of it looking brand new. That being said, I did it once on my 2010 at 50k miles. I was bored.
