Probably a quick/easy answer, but I'm still unsure. Lately, when I'm reversing and I put my foot on the brake and put the stick into drive...the car just kinda kills itself. The yellow/orange KEY light comes up on my dash and I usually have to put it into park, turn the start button off, then on again.

No gas goes to the engine, no revving noise, no lurching, nothing. Car just kinda shuts itself off.

It didn't happen for the first 6 or 7 months of ownership, but within the last month or so it's happened about 4 times. Just making sure I'm not raping my transmission or anything. Feel like a complete n00b

Bring it to the dealership ASAP. That does not sound right at all.

 

Are you still moving when you put it into D??? if you put the car into reverse while your doing a rolling stop, u can stall the engine...

u should completely stop before u put it into D....

 

Yes, completely stopped 100% before putting it in drive.

 

then my friend, u got urself a problem to claim through warranty

 

that does not sound like a small issue
