Isn't there a post that states that all new Infiniti's get free scheduled maintenance for a certain period? 1 or 2 years? I just got my 3rd oil change yesterday at the dealer for free. He is also going to turn my rotors for free and give me an alignment if necessary under warranty if I get it in before 12,000 miles.

I didn't get mine for free. They charged me $40 bucks.

My first oil change was $25.00 and the second service was $55.00 so I didn't get a free one ether.

Then it would seem like it depends on what was negotiated in your purchase/lease deal. I think mine was all scheduled maintenance for 2 years, but only at the dealer where I purchased. I think it's 2 years...

I wouldn't want it anyways. I just don't trust many with my car. I know the dealer wont mess that up. But I want my own oil and filter. Doing it myself, priceless.

I actually haven't checked out where the filter is on this VQ37. Is it easy to access? I'd do it myself also unless it's buried somewhere deep.

It's not in a particularly difficult location buy you need to remove 6 (or 10?) small bolts to drop the splash shield underneath the motor to get to the filter.

^^^ thanks. That means driving up onto ramps and getting underneath for me. That stinks. My Maxima (VE30) is a lot easier; just open the hood, reach in and twist.

I just had my first oil change on monday and the service was free, although the loaner they gave me had a screw, or got a screw in it on the way to work so I had to call infiniti road side to have them send a guy to swap the tire.

Yeah yeah i could have done it myself, but its a loaner, either they do it or it would stay in the work parking lot till they came to get it.
