Oil Change . . . how often?

Hey folks, how often are we supposed to change the oil on the G37? And is anyone using synthetic oil?

So that's 1 vote for regular oil and 1 for synthetic. Isn't one of the advantages of synthetic oil that you don't have to change it as often, so you wouldn't have to change it every 3750 miles?

You still need to do the same intervals for the Warranty. After 4 years do what oyu want. but stock 5W or syn for the warranty period is the same intervals.

Ya it is for the type of driving you do. I guess anyone with a G37S on this fourm should go with the 750 or 6000 km schedual.

Yeah, the two schedules are why I was confused, as well. I'm just gonna do 5W at 3,750, I suppose. It's coming up relatively soon.

God these threads are stupid. For warranty it's 7500 miles. If you use non-synthetic, the 3750 interval is a better idea. 7500 miles is fine for synthetic. There is no waiting period to use synthetic oil. The best synthetics will meet the BMW LL-01 approval. End thread.

30000miles or whenever the oil starts to have the consistency of pudding (where you can put a spoon sticking straight up in it without it falling over).

For real 3750.
