Name that noise

Hey guys,
My G37 6mt has 600 miles on it and I'm experiencing a strange noise. Hopefully we can keep this from turning into a discussion on break in period. Anyway, if I run the tach up to 6k or so, and shift gears, I get a sound when I press the clutch in, kind of sounds like a chirp. The first couple of times I thought it was barking a tire, until I determined the sound was coming before the wheel spin. It does it when shifting into any gear hard. During normal acceleration, I have never heard the sound. I'm not a fan of taking my car to the dealership, seeing as how it's black and a black car always seems to come home with some sort of scratch. Thoughts?

P.S. To me a break in period is like religion, if you believe in it, go for it.

I had the chirp too, but it's fixed now. Axle had rust on it, had to be lubed.
