Torque application

Apologies if a similar thread has been created, searching using torque as keywords can yield thousands of results, please move if necessary.

I've owned this application for about 6 years now and would totally recommend the paid version.
I've used Galaxy S4, S5, S7 and Tab A6 and found that it works best with a device you're not using to provide faster metering.
The Galaxy tab is faster due to being only used for this.
Trying to read more than 3 gauges on the same screen can slow down the processing. You can always add the others on another screen.
With android Auto you'd be able to install this app into the cars OEM monitor to simulate the GTR gauges

With this being said I would like to get more info from those that also own this app and currently use it. Motorvates Oil temp monitor added an additional gauge that can help extend it's longevity and help you with oil viscosities.
You'll be able to see you Catalytics efficiencies and many more parameters.

Has anyone tried the plug in made for Infinitis? Could you chime in into what additionals can be obtained with these?

I have the Infiniti Advanced EX plugin for Torque, and it adds features such as injector pulse, individual bank AFR's, Individual bank fuel trims, VVT oil temp, a bit more O2 data, but it's still pretty lack luster. I upgraded to OBD Fusion and added the infiniti PID pack for the G to that, and it gives you a lot more access with a much simpler user interface. It's a lot easier to access Mode $06 data while on the go for logging, O2 graphs are easier, and it gives you easy access to all modules of the car, not just the general OBD access that Torque has (you can read Trans codes, body module codes, airbag codes, etc with OBD Fusion). I know you have Torque already, as did I, but I'm much more satisfied with my OBD Fusion experience. Plus I also like the flexibilty of OBD Fusion, as you can use it on android and apple devices, so if you ever want to make the jump in the future, you aren't limited.

That's some fantastic feedback. I've been contemplating OBD fusion mainly for this car just did not have that much comparisons in the infiniti area vs torque.

Searching can be difficult because of the keyword. When searching Infiniti and torque together you'll get lost for days.

I've got both paid versions of torque and obdfusion. While the fusion has many many more features I like the simplicity of torque.
I care about coolant temp oil temp and afr. So I have those as the main dash. If I need to diag a code I hop to obdfusion. For datalogging I use my uprev software

Hello there,

I enjoy Torque because of it's simplicity, would like to get fusion at one point as I use consult at the dealer for the rest of the codes torque doesn't provide and not there yet with Uprev.

You recently installed an oil cooler right? how have your temps been? Mine have been at most 210F after some pulls but stay between 190-205F which follow coolant also.

I've noticed Air temps are the most variating parameters, 10 deg above ambient always as the lowest and up to 140F sitting in traffic.

BULL, I installed an oil pressure guage. Depending on ambient my oil temps are around 185 to 210 if I'm getting on it.
ambient is 40-50

In the summer with ambient 70-80 my oil temps peg 230.
Definitely need an oil cooler soon.

I now understand what you mean. I haven't purchased the infiniti plug in yet for OBD but without the plug in I would say torque surpasses in the monitoring and simplicity section.
