Just a FYI, the dipstick for a 2005-12 Nissan Pathfinder 4.0 with the RE5RO5A transmission will work. You'll have to remove all but the mounting tab at the transmission end. I just finished up installing one in my 2014 Q60X.

A few images of my install. The dipstick will be located in a different location and it has a bolt to secure the dipstick into the tube.

Do you think you could just pop the cap covering the pipe that leads into the transmission, take a skinny funnel and fill it up? I'm not really looking for the whole dipstick addition. More or less I am trying to do the drop pan, let it drain, put it back together and refill tranny with same amount of transmission fluid but refill from this access point.
You could possibly do that. As long as you add back what you took out, I shouldn't see a problem. Lexus does that sort of, be that the fill plug on some of their transmissions is actually on the side where the plug for the TCU is. I would still pull the fill plug to check your level when the transmission is up to proper temp. If you do end up doing it that way, best of luck and come back to let us know how it went!

Try Ebay. I think Nissan found out about this thread and stopped selling the dipstick

It "should", but you "might" need to cut off some of the welded on brackets,
Also if you want to be able to check the fluid level, you'll need the Dipstick that goes with it.

Wow, what an awesome Sticky!

Well, I just ordered this list of parts from infinitypartsdeal.com:

1x Pipe Assembly: 31080-EY00B
1x Dipstick: 31086-EY00A
1x O-Ring Seal: 31084-20301
2x Bolt: 31377-JL01A

I hope they don't cancel my order. If they do I may try to get them from the local dealer. I was unable to find these parts on ebay at present. GAH!

I too received the dreaded news that the tube and dipstick are discontinued more or less as expected. I may try to source them elsewhere when I get a chance; will update if successful.

I ordered in Mid september and still have a pending tracking #. I haven't received the dreaded email yet, but have a feeling it is coming. I may just call and check on my order#

Recently received email:
"Thank you for ordering parts with us.
We are writing to inform you that order VIA01338 has been voided. Your order haas been voided because of the following reason: The ordered part(s) is backordered with no ETA date by the manufacturer".
-They refunded my paypal order and I am working on finding parts elsewhere.

**Found all the parts on a different site: Infinitipartsnow.com. Will be ordering and find out if its the same deal.
