DIY: Install and Hide HID relay
Install and Hide HID relay
1: Start by removing the weather strip along the passenger fender. (note the two from clips may break but the other 3 along the fender will pop out)
2: Run the +ve and -ve wires along the fender

3: Remove this push pin where the battery compartment and strip intersect. Then tuck the two wires under and into the compartment.

4: Take a dremel and shave down the sides of the -ve terminal and install it under the terminal bolt end.

5: For the +ve terminal i just unbolted one of the wires and out the +ve terminal under then reinstalled the cable

6: I then zip tied the wires down. Also secured the relay towards the front and added a piece of foam so it wont rattle.

7: The other 3 wires (signal/ballast x2) was fed below the area where the relay was secured and zip tied to the factory harness next to the bottle neck.

The remaining wire routing depends on where you place the ballast etc.
After all is done you can reinstall the battery box and weather strip and enjoy your factory look.
Extra: The kit i used is the heavy duty relay kit from Diode Dynamics. Excellent kit didnt have any wire length issues even with hiding the wiring. The only issue was with the source connector because it was universal it didnt fit all the way in.. what i did to fix it was to remove half of the front and the trim the nipple so it would clink into the factory connector.
