2010 G37S Clicking noise (like a relay) on gas pedal up and down

Greetings all,

My 7AT has a relay clicking noise which appears to be linked acceleration/deceleration.

While driving in any mode or gear, at any speed, a loud click can be heard from outside the car both when applying torque to the engine, and removing it. On the gas: "CLICK", off the gas: "CLICK".

I've done a good bit of searching, but any search with the word click ends up being next to useless.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Front or rear? Search the site for rear axle click. Could be a suspension issue or motor/trans mount.

It's from the front.

I'm going to say it's almost definitely a relay...the sound is completely identical no matter the load.

Almost sounds like a WOT A/C compressor cutout, without the WOT.

Hopefully it's not the dreaded rear differential bushing failure.

If you were hearing it only from inside I would think you may have an accelerator pedal servo slowly failing, but it's probably more than that.

The clicking sound was the rear axels. There's a TSB on it...they popped them out, greased them, and the noise is gone.

They also did the TCM/ECM software update for transmission shifting issues. It GREATLY improved the transmission. Shifts are more crisp, the jerky downshifting is gone, and I don't have to put my foot on the floor to get it to downshift ONE gear.

Now to decide what to do about the Infiniti dealer saying they changed my oil, charging me for changing my oil, and not touching it. The filter I put on this spring is still on the car.

Fantastic! So considering that I have 97k on my car, will they do the repair for no charge?

Are you guys familiar with the clicking noise mostly heard more in the front passenger side? clicking noise which appears When accelerating and deccelerating. Gas on "click", gas off "click". It seems like when the car is on gear. No clicking sound in neutral. Any advice please. it is not an ITB08-018 Clicking noise from rear axle. Thanks

I have the same sound, which I think is coming from the front. My guess is it's the end links.

First of All if i drove 10k miles that would be about 150$ a year savings so that math is pretty much right. Your mileage may vary. But more importantly many cars, especially lexus which i consider to be the closest to infiniti, have variable valve timing and computers that compensate for lower octane fuel and reduce performance in order to preserve the motor so I find this question completely reasonable and not something that should just be assumed. All the people who flooded the this forum with "it says it needs premium" were no help at all. We all know what it says, that is why we are asking if it can take regular. **** if we all listened to what the owners manual says, 75% of this entire forum would be irrelevant.
