Subwoofer wiring.

Trying to install a sub in my trunk and have a couple of questions.
I have read and re-read this DIY, https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...stall-diy.html
but still can't figure out a couple of things. Any input is greatly appreciated.
On the plug going into the top Bose amp, I am trying to figure out how the numbering works. I need to tap #3, #8, #9, but don't know the order of arrangement on the plug. Wire color would help too.
Also any suggestions how to get the power lead through the firewall to the battery.
Quite frankly this part scares the crapola out of me. I've already run the wire from the trunk through all the proper channels, but I'm stuck at the passenger flooroard.
This is for a 2011 Coupe which, by the way, I've just purchased. Done with Miata's of which I owned 4.
Thanks for any help.

After further searching I found this
https://www.myg37.com/forums/audio-v...breakdown.html
so that answers my first question.

Still concerned with firewall penetration.

Are you talking about passing the power wire through the firewall? If so, there are spots that can allow you to feed the wire through. If I get a chance today, I'll check where I have mine going through. It's a tight fit, but it works great.

Check out my post about how I installed my sub/amp, everything you will need will be in there, from running the wire to wiring the amp up.

there is a rubber grommet near the battery where the wiring harness passes into the cabin through the firewall. this is your best bet for feeding the wire. I put a small hole in my grommet to pass the wire and fed it back and forth until it snaked down to the passenger floor board. Going by colors helps a ton when tapping the speaker wires and remote turn-on.

Yep hammerhead just check out my thread. Make sure when you do create a hole in the grommet you fill it in with sealant or something along those lines cause if you don't you will have water coming into the opening.

Nah same exact thing, you have to take off the plastic piece covering the battery and take off the plastic piece covering the grommet where you have the run the wire through. They are both easy to take off.

To take off the battery cover there are push tabs where you just use a flathead screw driver and pop them off. Then after that is removed, you can remove the piece covering the grommet. Its the plastic that is right up against the bottom of the window as you can see from my picture that I removed it.
