Hahaha I thought I was the only one who used medical tools for car installs.
Dropped a screw into my engine bay and fished it out with an endograsp (laparoscopic)

Hemostats and needle holders weren't long enough.

i got the same thing...got to the point to unclip the wires behind the cover. no luck. end up putting everything back.

I'm doing this on this weekend. So about the radiator cover. What do I need to do in order to prevent cracking? Remove the other thing beside it too?

You really need to get needle nose on those clamps to get them off. Its the same on the 08 coupe for me

Tried this evening on my '09 coupe...Failure. It seems from reading everyones posts (I did this after doing the DIY...duh) that something changed on the 09+. There are a bunch of harnesss and wires connected to the bottom of the rad cover. Its almost impossible to unclip them due to clearance. I dont see these in the pics from the '08 in the DIY. Just my experience.

JUST TAKE OFF THE DAMN BUMPER!!! DONT RISK CRACKING YOUR RAD COVER!!!

I took the bumper off in 10min...no issues there.

This DIY worked fine for me, there was enough clearance to remove the cables just take your time. I have an 09

thanks great DYI. as long as your careful with the 2 front mounts its easy. i only undid the one bolt on the white container (the one thats directly infront of the two troublesome mounts). took a whole 10 mins to take off and 5 to put back on haha
