Paint and Body

Has anyone had a body panel painted on their G? Did the new paint match factory? I have a graphite shadow that needs the front fender painted, was wondering if it would match the rest of the body ?

If you take it to a reputable shop, they should be able to match it. They will blend in nearby panels so it does not look different. Make sure they are familiar with Infiniti self-healing paint, read reviews about the shop. Don't take it to a cheap shop because you will hate the results later.

Thanks, I found a Infiniti repair shop nearby he said he needs two days and the price is okay. He said he can make it look like it never happened, but I hope its not just talk. Does 2013 have the "self healing paint" or clear coat ?

I am pretty sure 2013 have the same self healing paint. My old 09 G did. One of the high end shops were not familiar with it, and I had to make sure they order correct paint recommended by Infiniti.

how much will it cost you? I have like 50 rock chips in the front bumper and was considering having that painted. I had a local paint shop fill in the spots and although it looks 20x better I am just not satisfied. if its really expensive I wll just pass on it but if it cheap enough maybe just get it done.

-Sigh- I'm in the same boat, my bumper looks like a weed whacker attacked it with rocks.

The front end is chipping so easily. Got chips on the hood, both front fenders, bumper has some pits in it. Probably would cost an arm and a leg to repaint them.

Yeah front fender, but they will have to "blend" with the front door also. I asked my friend who used to be in the industry he said its true they would have to blend the door also.

make sure their lot has Infiniti's in there and see if you can see any work that has been done recently
