Got a scratch at the mechanics....help

Just had some new wheels installed at a local shop. Been to the shop two to three times for numerous installs. Got the car back today and when I got home, I noticed that a scratch/are of paint was missing on the handle.

I'm not sure how or if I should even bring it up to the mechanic without directly accusing him of doing it and ruining future business. Any advice?

That sucks. Just go back and show them the damage. I wouldn't go yelling and screaming at them about it. It would've been easier if you noticed the damage before accepting the car, but hopefully they'll take your word for it and make good on it. If they give you a hard time, would you really want to do business with them again anyway?

This looks like this should be easy to touch up. I would still point it out to them, politely. If they give you a hard time, take your business elsewhere. When they have your property in their custody, it is not acceptable to treat it carelessly.

this happened to me too, however I did not notice it until car was home for about 2 days. I decided it was not worth the hassle to I paid them to fill in it the next time I took it into the dealer (along with all the rock chips). its not perfect but it is better.

DIY. Doc Color Chip has an almost perfect Athens Blue color match. I've used it around my car and now I have to look hard to see the spots that I touched up.

Brought it up to the mechanic... He said they always take care when opening doors and it wasn't them....I didn't push it too much. Just said I wanted to bring it to his attention. I'll try to Doc Color Chip and see what happens.
