Scotch Tape Gunk

So I left some (alot) of scotch tape on my car for like 2 days by mistake and when I took it off, the glue stuck to the car.... any idea/products/tips to clean that off? Or should simple goo gone should work?

Goo Gone should be fine if you don't rub it too hard with your finger since it'll take off clear coat

1. try a 50/50 isopropyl + water mixture

2. quick detailer

3. clay bar

if that fails, i think polish is needed

why did you use scotch tape? you're supposed to use painter's tape.

WD-40 just rub with your finger after spraying the effected area

Because It was raining and that's all I had, I switched it to painted tape as soon as I could but it was too late.

Unless it's old and adhesive has bonded with the surface and changed its form to solid you should try this. Take another scotch tape and put it over the remaining adhesive. rub it gently so the two adhesive surfaces bond together. then peal the tape off. you should start to lift it off the surface. Repeat this until you get rid of all. You may need to change the tape to work with fresh set after few tries.
