So JR how are the summer tires performing today in the minus 15...haha what's with this cold snap? I pulled my hose out of my shed to wash my car on the weekend but it's still frozen solid...

They are not bad, a little stiff with the temp I would say I can feel the road more now :-) but overall pretty good. I washed the wheels before swapping them sunday and yes, it was cold! but it didn't took too long. I just feel with no snow, it's a waste of rubber keeping using the snow tires, they wear pretty quick on dry pavement.

I agree with no snow and the temp on the rise it makes sense to flip em. My blizzaks weren't cheap that's for sure...
I ended up purchasing a couple goodies from eshine and they should be arriving today by CANPAR... One thing I have been looking for was a soap sprayer (not pressure washer) that you can attach a hose to - and it mixes the soap in the reservoir with the water and soaps up the car... I tried the usual suspects like CTC and Wal-Mart, even Princess Auto - but no such luck...any ideas?

That's the thing and they are pricey, I have no idea if CT/Walmart carries them, it's a foam gun, maybe princess auto? there's a place on Laperriere besides the car wash that carries some detailing stuff, MPS Industrial I think is the name. You can even get biodegradable soap now so that's good. Some people say the foam gun speed the process of washing and others say don't bother, problem I see with that is that here everything dries too fast.
I waxed the rims and the finish is great, I've had no chance yet to spray some water and see what kind of beading I get, I'll do that soon!.

Yes that is the unit I saw online that I wanted to find locally - perhaps cheaper... $78 plus about $10 in tax plus about $10 in shipping seems high to me - I can almost buy a pressure washer for that price... I tried the new Princess Auto near Hawthorne/Walkley Rd. and they didn't have it.
...yeah nothing worse than washing in direct hot sunlight... I like to get up real early to do it or after dinner to avoid the hot sun...but in the spring the bugs are an issue during those times...

I will probably put back on the 19s this weekend when I go home. I'm stuck in Hamilton for a while and you never know what kind of weird lake-effect snow might hit this area. Where I'm at, is underground parking and if there's snow, there is no way I can get out and I need my car to get around.

I'm just waiting for a great set of 19" Volks at a good price (exchange rate sucks right now) ... so I can look good for the summer.

Never took em off because my G was garaged for the winter. Brought it back out a few weeks ago.

I am removing my OEM 19's this weekend.
