Putting back summers?
Just curious as to when everyone plans to put their summers back on? I guess its still too early since the average temperature is still between 0-10 degrees C....

I can't see your location on your details under your name so it's tough to give you a valid answer. I assume you are CDN since you are posting in this section.
Bascially, it's location specific. If you live in the province of Quebec - you must leave your winter tires on until March 15 (yesterday) but I wouldn't rush out and change them since the temp isn't there yet. If you live on the west coast then you know they have broken all the cold temperature records last week and it could be sometime before normal temperatures come back so my advice would be to leave the winters on. If you live in southern Ontario - where temperatures are nice then changing them in the near future are fine. I personally live in Ottawa and changing them before April 1st isn't a good a idea.

Hey Heff, I see you're in Stoon as well. I'm thinking of going from a 35 to a 37 this winter. I have the 35 oem 18s for my winter rim, but according to various posts they don't fit on a 37S...whereas 350Z 18" 5 spokes do (so I'll likely pick a set of those up later).
Anyway....what's your winter setup - rim style, size, brand of tire? Happy?

thanks !
i still dont quite get it. well not that i dont get it, my worst nightmare is that it slips and the jack stays 'erected' and punches a hole through the floor of the car... dammn !
.
is there a reason why the jack can sit on the same ridge / lip as the stock jack ?

Don't try to put a regular hydraulic jack on the ridge, I tried that and it bent the piece out of shape!!! If you take out the OEM jack in your spare tire you'll see that jack has a special slot just for the ridge to slip in.

Sorry, didn't take any pictures. I bought a 3 ton wide and low profile jack from Costco, it was on sale for appr. $60 last year. It works great on the factory jack location. The center hard rubber boot help to minimize slip and scratches, and it is quick and very sturdy.
