need help with tire choice
I ran over a screw in my work parking lot the other day and took it to tire shop to get it patched but they were unable to repair the flat. I decided to get a new set of tires all together because I still had the original tires with 30k miles on them so it was all out time to get some new ones anyway. I decided to go with the BFG g force sport comp 2 summer tires. They didn't have them in stock so I had to wait til today to get them shipped to the shop. I had them installed today and when I got home and was looking over the receipt I noticed that they had actually ordered and installed the g force comp 2 all season tires. I have searched everywhere trying to find the actual differences between the summer tires and all seasons to see if I should call and get them to order the correct tires or I'd the all season will do just as well. Can anyone give me some info on the differences between the two tires?
Just some back info, car is a 2010 g37 anniversary edition coupe all stock. It is my dd but I have a lifted jeep that I will use when there is snow on the ground and will mainly be driving it only in the summer or when there is no snow on the ground. We had a very mild winter last year so if it's the same this year I will be driving it year round, dry and wet. But never in the snow.
Mainly I would like to know the difference in how many miles will these last me, work is about about miles away on the highway the rest of the time I'm just driving around town, with the occasional cruise up the canyon roads. No tracking or anything.
What will get better grip in rain and dry, and I would assume the sport summer tires would have a little more grip in corners and such?
Thanks in advance!

Summer tires will definitely handle better than any all season tire. I would take them back if performance is high on the priority list (not to mention you paid more for summer tires and got all season instead). All season tires will generally last longer and are more comfortable but not too many people care about that in a sports car. If for some reason you can't get the original bridgestones you ordered I would seriously consider the michelin pilot super sports instead. Good luck.

Yep, you ordered the summers and got the all-seasons, get back to the shop and have them make it right. Your car can be driven like it was made to be driven w/ those summers installed. Don't take a discount on the tires they already installed, the summers are that much of an improvement.

Thanks guys. I will get ahold of them today. I had been planning on the pilot super sports actually, but I am right in the middle of moving and currently paying rent and bills for 2 houses, so I went with something a little cheaper that I could afford right now, since driving around on a donut for another month or two is not an option. Bad timing for this to happen... Those will be the next rubber I get though. Heard alot of good things about them. I appreciate the feedback! Thanks guys.

Just got the summers installed today. So far the only thing that i liked better about the AS's is the way they looked. ha ha. they look a lot more aggressive than the summer tires do. Besides that, I like the summers better in every way.

I've got S04's. Only have about 3k miles on them right now but theyve been great. They stick like glue. I've done a few launches/rolling burnout's on them too and they still look new and the tread is deep. I'd recommend them.
