I don't understand why Americans feel the need to post how much they paid in the Canadian section.

Take a look at how much people pay in Europe or Asia for cars. Sheesh ...

(And yes, we do get ripped off in Canada ... that's why I bought mine in the US when US$1 = C$1 back in May ... )

Back on topic ... wait a little bit for the '09s to come out. Prices will go down accordingly!

Has anyone closed on a 09 37xS sedan(no nav)? List is 47.6k, how low do you think they will go?

You know, it is quite interesting yesterday when I spoke to my salesman at Yorkville Infiniti he said all the 08 G's are sold. I thought there were a fair of stock left.

08's sold? total BS. "build" a car on infiniti.ca and it will let you check the dealer stock, my calgary dealer (if the web site it telling the truth) has about 10 '08's left and he is not moving off list. US infiniti is offering 0% on their remaining 08's, canada infiniti are still living in a dream world

I don't know about Infiniti but with Honda (I'm a sales consultant), even when the dealer does a search of other dealer's inventory (to try to get a car), many times the database is not up to the minute up to date. Recently the database showed 6 left of a certain 08 model trim, yet in reality only 1 was left (for Honda). There were huge cash incentives on the 08 G, even for financing & leasing, not just cash deal (I think the incentives were at least $5000).

Also, when a dealer says 08 models are sold out, they mean provincially or within a 2-2.5 hr drive, because they're sure as hell not going to make enough profit on a 08 to justify shipping it from out of province.

That brings up a good question. How much does a dealer pay to ship a car from out of province? I ordered an 09 and they're not charging me to ship one in from BC (and I'm very thankful to them for that).

Three weeks ago when I was looking it was $250 to bring the car to Ottawa from Toronto. Maybe they have an arrangment to move the cars between provinces for the same price?

I doubt it, they pay a 3rd party transportation company, it's not an internal Infiniti service for shipping. If it's say a 6 hr drive each way, the transport company isn't going to do it for $250 IMO.
