Those with Swifts, did you change shocks/struts?

I have an 09 G37xs with about 58k mi on the odo. I want to put some swift springs on but at my current mileage, was wondering if I was also due for shocks/struts as well since I'll be taking everything out anyway. My current shocks/struts feel fine. I know there isn't any good aftermarket choices for the awd but found some oem like kybs.

So for those with swifts, did you also replace your shocks/struts? And at what mileage? Did you like your end result?

Yep, only 3 options for the AWD guys AFAIK
OEM, KYB, or Monroe.
I've heard that Konis can be custom adapted but then you're in coilover price points

Since you're RWD I'd give these a look, getting nice reviews from those that are already running them

So I've got 22K on my car now. Swifts will be in and on in the next 2-3 weeks. What's the best case scenario on when I will have to either buy new OEM shocks or get the BC Coilovers (only option for me since I have a convertible)?

I replaced my OEM sport shocks with Koni Yellows when I installed the Swift springs. Love the combination.

YMMV but another 40k would be a reasonable assumption I think.

Thanks Brad. That's a great response. Right around the number I was hoping to hear. Hells yeah boys. Only another 2 weeks max and I'll have everything done except the tune.

I was around 40ish when I put them on my X, the fronts struts blew as we lowered the car. I bought a set of KYBs and still wasn't happy with the ride. The stance was perfect, slight rake and just beautiful. But driving it annoyed me so I went with coilovers.

If I had to do it again I would, probably have had my blown front struts revalved by Koni despite the cost then gone Koni yellow on the rear.

Can the AWD crew swap in the OEM Sport Shocks from the RWD-S?

I just checked the Monroe shock catalog and it appears it lists the same rear shocks for the AWD & RWD, so in short, yes, the Rear OEM setup from the Sport & Journey RWD WILL work w/ the X models.

Well there you go, then! The RWD Sport shocks would be a viable suspension upgrade for the AWD Sedan.

Ditto on the RWD sway bars, which we've discovered (the hard way) only differentiate based on RWD and AWD... where the Sport Package is irrelevant.
